Gate: JSDF Season 1 Summary

Since this is the 2nd season of Gate, I will give a short summary of the first season before I post season 2.

Itami Youji is an otaku that was about to attend an Anime convention but suddenly "The Gate" appeared and fantasy creatures came out of it killing every person in site. Suddenly we see this otaku who was actually a soldier go into fight mode and starts killing the enemy and helped control of it.  From then on, Itami came to the other side of "The Gate". On his journey around the fantasy world, his explored different lands and interacted with people, learned their language - even though they still speak japanese - and talk so much about politics which took me a while to understand. We also get introduced to some of Itami's waifu: Rory the Demigod, Lelei the human mage prodigy, and Tuka the Elf. We also get to meet Princess Piña, Yao the Dark Elf, "The Dragon", and many more. The season ends off with Yao thinking to place on all hopes to Itami to kill the fire dragon. Thus concludes my summary for season 1. Also, on this anime our common sense flips over, military can beat fantasy not the other way around, and they also killed a Dragon, A FREAKING DRAGON!!! (By the way, this is a mild spoiler, sorry about that but I needed to talk about it :p)

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar Episode 5

Hello, DragonX here with Episode 5. We will now see what happened to the group after the death of Manato, and here is the result.

With the death of Manato from the previous episode, the team returns back home gloomy. Ranta then goes off to the bar where Manato used to go, with Haruhiro and Moguzo following right after. Soon the boys meet up with their old friend Kikkawa who introduced Mary as the healer for the team as they were lacking it. The next day, the team went back to hunting, with the boys introduced Mary to the girls.

During their hunt we notice how bad their efficiency the group was, the girls being distant and Mary being cold... *shiver*. The boys hopeless, Renji - one of the transported people - gave them a gold coin but Haruhiro refused for his beliefs. Then the feels come, we see a conversation exchange between Haruhiro and Yume apologizing to each other with a crying festival.
With that fixed, they moved onto the next problem with Shihoru misunderstanding everything and end s up the episode with that. Yay with that fixed see ya on the next episode of Grimgar.

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar Episode 4

DragonX here and sad thing to say for Grimgar episode 4 is that Manato is dead..... :'(

NNNNOOOOOO...

To know how Manato died we will  go back at the start of this episode. The story starts off with a scene of love brewing between Shihoru and Manato and them walking on the road with just some minor conversation.On a side note: if you are a true anime fan then you should know that Shihoru already has feelings for Manato. The next day, they went back to hunting goblins and Haruhiro introduce the new skills his team learned from their respective guilds. Ranta learned Anger, Yume learned Diagonal Cross, Haruhiro learned Back Stab, Shihoru learned Shadow Beat Magic, Manato learned Smash, Moguzo learned Wind or the Thank You Slash. Then continues on to the next scene where Manato praises everybody except Haruhiro but he just thinks he can ask Manato later, oh how sad Haruhiro you are just too late ;-p Hahahaha. Just as they were about to go back, they were suddenly ambushed, after they escaped the team finally noticed that Manato was hit by an arrow at the back seen at the picture above. You know they had actually had a chance on saving Manato if Manato just told his team but NO he just held it in. Another way is that the team could have just go straight back to town to heal him instead of asking questions. In the end, Manato died since they were too late and had too cremate and bury him or else he will become an undead. The episodes end on a sad note with a sad team and Shihoru being the saddest since she really liked Manato.

I wonder how this group of lost adventurers move on with their Leader Manato dead. Well see you on the next episode... *sigh*

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar Episode 3

Hello, DragonX here with Grimgar episode 3

Though I didn't talk about the opening and the ending of the anime in the past reviews, generally I like all of the songs from the anime's that I watch.

With the continuation of the event from last episode, we see Manato,Haruhiro, and Moguzo kowtowing to the girls even though it was only Ranta's fault and at the end of the scene we finally see Rant getting slapped by Yume. Hahaha, get rekt Ranta ;p. The group now continues their hunt but with no profit as it was raining. Moving back to their home, Haruhiro then summarizes how bad their life is with little income like seriously they can't even wear their underwear when they're sleeping and we see how of big a hole Haruhiro's underwear is. A new day comes, and now the team moves to a new area to hunt goblins. We can finally see their progress as they can now fight and defeat about 2-3 goblins. Now, because of their increased income everybody is now able to live more comfortably such as Haruhiro getting a new underwear and Ranta able to eat different kinds of food. They also converse with each other but it's not important. We also get to notice the love budding between Manato and Shihoru YYaaaayyyyyy.... but I watched ahead, I already know what happens so stay tuned for the next review of Grimgar.

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar Episode 2

DragonX here, bringing you Episode 2 of Grimgar

If any of you watch the last episode of Grimgar, what did you think? For me, it was a shocker, like seriously they came from Earth and suddenly they were transported with their memories lost and if you look carefully you will notice that the story revolves around Haruhiro as we mostly hear what he thinks. Therefore, we know that something will happen with the leader Manato. Spooky and mysterious. O_o Also, I forgot to mention that the art in the anime is unique, it uses something similar to mosaic but I'm not sure. In other words, in different animes, they make the drawing of the background similar from the characters while in Grimgar, the background is totally different from the characters. Now onto the real deal, the episode starts off with a conversation between Haruhiro and Manato about their situation and with Haruhiro still not being used in the fantasy world. The group now continue off with their hunt with their goal of defeating a single goblin. As their fight goes on, all of them start shaking, for me was because of their moral ethics of not killing someone messed them up since even if they forget it, it is still in their instincts. With this, the group now has finally defeated their first goblin with an income of about 1 silver and 50 coppers. Next half of the episode just shows how they live their days and of course in every anime, IT IS A MUST to have an ecchi scene which in opinion kills the mood of the anime, so it is considered now that my most hated character in Grimgar is Ranta and this case only happens when he starts to get annoying but everything else is fine.


This is one of the examples when Ranta starts to be annoying.

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar Episode 1

Hello, DragonX here finally got the first review out, YAY!!!!!!

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar or Grimgar of Ash and Fantasy in English. the anime starts off at a fight scene, so my reaction to this was "Isn't that a goblin? why couldn't they defeat it? They have SIX PEOPLE!!!!". For those who are new in the anime culture, let me give you a small information, in a fantasy story, it is almost 100% that a goblin is the weakest monster, demon or whatever it is there is. The story then moves on to the next scene; the day after the team failed to kill a SINGLE Goblin. They just started talking to each and we finally know their which is our introduction to the team: Manato, Harihiro, Yume, Ranta, Shihoru, and Moguzo. Finally, a quarter into the episode we learn about their circumstances and dramatic irony but just watch it or else I'll give you too many spoilers. :-P Halfway through the show, they just talk about which classes should they get, so they can fight together as a team. Manato as the healer and leader, Haruhiro as the Thief, Yume Archer, Ranta Dark Knight (it's the warrior damage dealer in games), Shihoru Mage, and Moguzo a warrior (it's the same as a tanker in games).

Now with my observation, I see that this story will talk about how they get through their adventures and learn about the mysteries surrounding them.

Introduction

HELLO!!! Welcome to DragonX's Anime Review. In my Blog, I  will call myself as DragonX, of course.

The purpose of this blog is to review and reaction to some animes that are being aired right now. My goal is to do a review for every episode of the anime that I do. Though it is a review, we all have our own opinions. As so do I, meaning how I see the animes awesomeness differently from others or how much bad it is. I will also add some old anime's but in this case, I will make a review for the whole series instead of per episode.

Now to start things off, I will tell you what are the two animes that I will review for Winter Anime 2015/2016:
